The GAP

Our Community Centre

Grace And Peace: Besides grace and peace The GAP represents the gap that exists between the world and the church. We want to bridge that gap by reaching out to our community with a helping hand, so that they not only hear about Jesus but they see Jesus at work through us.

The Gap Centre is a community and conference centre, dedicated to serving the community of Stow Hill and Baneswell – and also the whole of the city of Newport. We also provide excellent conference and event facilities for businesses in Gwent and beyond.

The Gap Centre wants to make a real difference in the life of and in the lives of every individual that makes up our community. We believe in the intrinsic value of every human life and want to help everyone in whatever way we can to reach their full potential, to deal with all the issues and pressures that can make life today so difficult and to have hope for the future. We hope that through serving and being part of our community we can help to bring about renewal and transformation of community life.

We can also provide flexible conference and event facilities with a 200-seater auditorium, seminar rooms and several breakout rooms. These facilities are also available for community use.

The Oasis advice, support and listening service aims to support and help anyone with any difficulty or concern that they would like to talk over.

The Gap Centre has been set up by members of Bethel Community Church, who believe that God’s love for people can best be demonstrated by serving, by supporting and by building strong relationships with others in our community regardless of race or religion.
